Here, at IGL, we colour grade coloured diamonds using the Judge II Viewing Booth. This invaluable tool features GretagMacbeth’s patented seven-phosphor fluorescent daylight technology which renders colour more accurately.
Judge II has five light sources which give us the ability to detect colours that match under one light but not with another. It also uses UV light to detect additives like whitening agents, dyes, pigments, and brighteners.
The Judge II exceeds major international standards detailed in ASTM D1729, ISO3664, DIN, ANSI and BSI.
